Pontiac Grand Prix GT or GXP?

I'm thinking about getting a new car and have my eyes on the newer Pontiac Grand Prixs. I like to modify my vehicles and my question is can I get the supercharged GT (after modifying it of course) to be the same or really close in performance compared to the GXP that has the 5.3 V8....or should I just say screw it and since I want performance anyways get the V8?

  1. get the gxp and jus modify the body,
  2. get the gxp and add to that. those are nice cars.
  3. I own a gtp (supercharged one) there is something to be said for the sound of a supercharger making boost you can also add go fast goodies to these cars. ie: smaller pulley on supercharger, exhaust, cold air induction...
  4. Go with the gxp it is a bad ass car. 0-60 in 5.3 seconds! With a few mods you can have this in the 4 second range! What a sleeper this car could be. Plus you will have the active displacement system which cuts it down to 4 cylinders, without sacrificing performance. But you might want to call your insurance agent first.I have a feeling this could be a little pricey.
