Modify a Mazda 6?

My mom is thinking of buying a new car, ranging from a mini cooper S, to FJ cruiser..but there all...2 door and un-family like. While the Mazda 6, hence it is a bit over normal...can be made into a sporty cool looking vehicle that I can ride as well. Its sort of a EVO X with its high rear spoiler, but at the end of the day; is a family car, and that is what i'm looking for. 1. If it's a family car then overmodifying it will defeat the purpose of using it as a DD, just do an upgrade to the rims and tires, maybe a very minimalist suspension mod, that should be enough, do not turn it into a ricer
