I need help with some fundraising ideas.?

I'm a high school student also one of TWO girls in my class. The class is called High Mileage Vehicle, where we kinda build cars or we make modifications to smaller box cars. This spring before I graduate we are TRYING to compete against other schools with our box car we have modified. So if I could get some ideas..it would help alot! I might mention our SCHOOL and CLASS is B-R-O-K-E! please and thank you! help!

Public Comments

1. Write to local businesses and ask if they could support you. Offer to wear t-shirts or hang banners with their business names on them at the competition (and actually wear them/hang them).
2. Try to get a sponsor(s) That's your best bet..... Good Luck!
3. Check out www.emicards.com (1-800-711-3200). They make these credit card looking things that people buy for $20. There are coupons on the back that can be used and re-used for a whole entire year. They sold them at my nephew's middle school and were a big success. Also, go to your local mechanics and parts stores to see if they would sponsor your team or make a charitable contribution....some of these places may even donate parts. Ask local businesses to donate goods (basketball tickets, car wash packages, car detailing packages, day-spa packages, gift cards, ipods, etc) and have a silent auction or a regular auction to raise money for your team.
