how do i unlock the wide body kit ,gloss paints and many other parts in nfs underground2?

when i try to modify my car in nfs underground 2, iam not able to use many of the graphic stickers,gloss paint ,wide body kits and lots of stuff how do i unlock them...it shows a lock sign. is it necessary to insert cd while playing? also i cant find where the stages are.. plz tell me how to proceed with the game plz..plz..plz...

1. Keep on racing and things will unlock. The wide body are only available on certain cars
