professional about Body Kits?

I put my kit on my car, yes i had to modified it a little bit to fit, but where the kit meets the body of the car is not a tight seam, its a good sized gap that i would like to close up. I was told to use Gorilla Glue, but i really dont think that would work. Or real tight brackets, but that would be alot of tension on the kit. Any pointers.
