Car Modifications?

By the end of April, I will have money saved up again to be able to modify my car visually a bit. What should I do? I have an '06 VW GTI MkV Opt. 1: Paint the stock body kit to the car color (red) to make it look lower. - is maaco any good? Opt. 2: Lower the car with Eibach springs - try to lower it by 1.5" to 2.0"

  1. i would do opt 2. it may be a little more expensive, but in my oppinion its worth it. my friend at highschool lowered his and everyone liked it.
  2. DONT USE MACCO!!!! my friend works their and always tells me how much of a joke their paint jobs are....the paint will be faded and chipping within a year...you gotta go get it done right- yes alot of money but its worth it. as for your second option...DONT JUST GET SPRINGS you will ruin your shocks most likely. get full coilovers...its the springs with new shocks...look them up....and id probably opt for the second....good luck and if you got any more questions id be glad to answer!
  3. Go with both, but replace the springs AND struts as units. Take the car to a REAL body shop for the paint work. Maaco is the joke of the industry.
