Overhaulin'

Should i even bother to modify my 1994 toyota corolla dx???

I will be getting my drivers lisense soon so my parents are going to give it to me. It is still in great running condition and has very little body damage. It only has 60000 miles on it. If i do plan on modifying it i plan to -paint it a new color -get it a new body kit -fix some small stuff that are wrong with the car (windows, filter) -install HID lights Is it really worth it??

  1. It's definately worth it. I've seen a lot of sooped up corollas, they look awesome!
  2. The car worths about $2,000. How much you wnat to spend on it. First making sure all the mechanical components are in good condition. Paint or body kit will not make it run better or faster. HID is expensive, just buy a pair Sylvania Ultra for about $30. HID may over load your electrical system and battery. Do a major tune-up, i.e. timing belt, fan belts, brake system flush, engine flush, transmission flush due to low mileage. Fix the windows so you don't over heat. After this baby is running top shape, you may consider painting it for the look. Good luck and happy ownership.
  3. i would do all except the body kit, and hid lights? after a teen tricks out a car, it looses the resale value?
