Need help with EREBUNI Front End Replacement Bumper?

I have a problem, I ordered a replacement bumper for my 2003 mazda 6 i, and it came directly from EREBUNI which does alot of ground effects kits, They informed that my car will have to be modified, I was okay with that, but didnt realize that the body shop told me that my Reinforcement bar that goes across the front of the car needs to be removed or modified. My question is should I do this,Is it okay to modify the reinforcement bar or not, I heard two different stories but Im not really sure, so the front bumper is just sitting at the body shop waiting to be put on but I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. PLEASE HELP

1. This is not something that I would try to perform by myself. I would let a professional body shop handle it.
