  1. well you'll want a hell of a lot of money to do that job, im not sure of the price of the car, but most companys wont insure u on a type r if ur only 17, too powerful! body kits go from like 1,000 euro to as much as ur willing to pay!!! wheels, price varys with size, weight, strength etc. but u'd get an unreal set for like 1,200 euro seats i dunno, but i think jus start with a regular civic and work ur way up to a type R!!!
  2. Civics are hot here in the US too.
  3. okay dude...I'm an american tuner and I dunno how hard they are to find over there but they are really abundant here!!! The type-R is really rare here though!! If you can find one for under 10,000.00 USD then it is worth it!!! but I would also recommend that you just get a civic and make it a type R yourself..... I've seen this alot here and I have a JDM tuner myself..... that i built off of an 2000 civic Si platform. As far as mods..... I paid about 650.00 USD for my body kit, and it came with the lights, and for rims you are probably looking at between 1,000.00 and 4,000.00USD depending on the type of rims and the sizes that you want. And for getting the mods done..... do them yourself..... most tuners hate people with "shop cars" this means that you didn't do the work yourself...... but bigger stuff like turbos and headers, exhaust etc.... take that to the shop.... but kits and rims you can do yourself!!! My recommendations would be to get a good honda civic... regardless of the type.... and build it a little at a time.... start with a good exhaust.... ie. Skunk 2, GReddy, or K&N.... then get a Cold Air Intake or a turbo charger... ( if you plan on turbo charging your car.... make sure that your xhaust is turbo compatable) Then get your rims..... then your kit so you can make sure that everything looks good... then get it painted...... then you can do whatever other outside mods you may want to do... also interior wise if you are going to do anything... be careful because your car if it is after a 96 will have different sensors that you can set off if you aren't careful
  4. Hi there! First of all the photo that was in the url is an EG Hatch Civic. This is 92 to 95 model. But your 7 to 10 years time-frame will put you on the EK series. I have a 1993 Honda Civic EG Hatch SIR and I have a maintenance schedule. It never failed me. In the Philippines parts for the EG series is abundant because of the proximity to Japan. I do not know the availability of parts in Ireland or how long it takes to get one. The Type-R series is the Honda's High end model. Chances are engines are the B16 or even B18. To know if it's genuine Type R look at the engine Valve cover. It should be red and HONDA letters are embossed. Type R usually comes in off-white color. Honda calls it Championship White. It has larger disks brakes for all four wheels. All power & Gather Interior. I usually browse all the latest accessories in www.ebay.com and just type in Honda Civic 92-95 and you will see what's the latest. My suggestion to you is decide on EK or EG first. There are a lot of website that will tell you were to buy accessories but usually Type-R are fully loaded and genuine Type-R owner seldom change anything because this is already a good looking model. Good luck and hope I helped a liitle. Cheers.
