What are the pros and cons of car Auctions?

Do I have a chance to get nice cars like BMW so cheap there, if I'm lucky?

1. Pros: Cheap prices , good selection. Cons: You don't know what you are getting. Often the cars are repos that have been bashed or stolen or not maintained.
