Are car auctions a good place to get a good running vehicle cheap?

  1. If you know a good running vehicle when you see one - yes... they are a good place to get one cheap...or hire a mechanic to go with you (a good investment!) you can still save money! You can save a lot of money - just be aware of car values, what car you a looking for, what they are worth, what you are willing to spend, prior to going - or you might be spending more than you anticipated, for a car you didn't really want, that doesn't run that well! Good Luck!
  2. No, Auctions are a high risk way to buy a car. Unless you have the ability to verify the condition of the car or take a mechanic along that can you have no idea what shape the car you are bidding on is in. It's all cash only, no warranty, no refunds. Buy it and it's yours.
  3. no because you don't even touch it you just bid
  4. You can always find good deals at car auctions. Just be sure to take a mechanic with you to check the engine, transmission, electrical system, etc. because most of these cars are sold in as -is condition. If you don't know where any auctions are located near you, you should get a list of car auction sites near or in your city.
