- Cold air intake, Exhaust system with header, might give you an extra 15 hp. Anything you want to make real power will cost a lot more.
- I do not recomend or condone street racing. But if you want to add performance to your car i would add a cold air intake(not ram intake). I would also get an msd ignition system with new plug wires. That should leave you 1500-1700$. Im not sure on the prices but you could also look into an exhaust system. Do not get a fart can, you will lose backpressure and your car will be slower.
- It's hard to upgrade a Honda for that amount of money. But for Accords, the best things to get will be the following: 1) Cold Air Intake w/ K&N Air Filter 2) Headers 3) Exhaust 4) Tires/wheels 5) Different computer 6) If money is left, start working on body work because any other performance will cost you more (turbo, intercooler, etc...). Find a spoiler, lower the car and put a different grill on it. You can experiment. It's your car... find what you want and do it.
- well if ur serious u wanna be adding stuff like, new exhaust system, performance air filters, superchips ( ecu ) power boost valve, air hoses, and if ur serious take some of the stuff out of ur car to make it lighter, eg. back seats, anything that will make it lighter, maybe a turbo !
- Upgrades to the exhaust and intake systems could greatly increase horspower depending on what you choose. Upgrading the suspension will increase your car's handling. However, streetracing is an illegal sport and is dangerous, not only for you, but for everyone on the road.
- Adding external stuff increases the hp a little bit, by about 15-20, that not a lot. If you are serious in performance enhencement, try to modify the engine. Use over-sized and well balanced pistons, valve heads, cam shaft and modify the air intake. What I'm trying to say is pretty much like getting a new engine. Having this done would be hardly noticeable under the hood except your car car fly. Dollar wise, $2K won't do it, try a multiple of $2K.
