Should I go to a car boot sale before I set up a stall there?

I have loads of stuff that I want to sell, but my parents say that we should visit a car boot sale before we sell stuff there, because we've never been to one before. Also is it a better idea to go to one that has just set up, or a popular one that will have a lot more people (and stalls) Thanks

1. go to a popular one. I used to go all the time, its nothing scary!
2. Of course, check it out first. I used to sell some things in a 'swapmeet' as we call them in the states. We used to check them out first to see what sorts of items would sell best in different areas and what the prices of things were going for.
3. yes see what other people are selling at one time it was goods people did`nt want now there are all new stalls and garden plants etc so look first and find one that compares to what you are selling
