- Hello - your New Yorker would be considered an antique according to the PA Code definition (i.e., over 25 years old) whereas a classic can be a vehicle only 10 years old. Be happy that you have an antique designation though because you need less paperwork for registering it. Essentially you need a certificate of title application and proof that state taxes have been paid and a registration application. A signed title from the previous owner (assuming it comes from a state that titles antique vehicles) or other proof of purchase. You can download these forms from the site and fill them out before going to the DMV. Additional paperwork is required if the vehicle has a salvage title. Here's the direct link to a page on the Pennsylvania State DMV for further information: http://www.dot3.state.pa.us/pdotforms/fact_sheets/fs-ant.pdf Congrats on a great find!
