where can i buy car reverse lights, and other car lights?

where is the best place to buy car bulbs like reverse lights and number plate lights, i live in the UK, and ive often bought the wrong type of bulbs, are they all universal, i drive a rover 400 hatch 1998, i need 1 reverse light, a number plate light, a glove box light and a stop light, can i get them on ebay. if i type reverse light into google it doesn't register, can i also buy them in petrol stations.

1. Man there is a complete list of all Bulbs and Fuses in the OWNERS MANUAL read it.
2. Either take the bulbs out and take them with you to the auto parts store or gas station or get a owners manual or repair manual for your car and take that with you.
3. If you go to Halfords they have look up books for each of their car parts all you do is find your car in it and it will give you a code that corresponds with which bulbs you need and to be honest there bulbs will be cheaper than garages.
4. Bulbs are not universal. As suggested above, your owner's manual will give you a list of the type of bulbs that fit your car. Look it up.
