Is there a solar kit to modify cars?

I'd rather pay $3K to modify my car than to buy a new one. If I can modify my car to use solar E or run on veg oil, I'd rather go that route. Hope someone can help. Haven't been successful in finding help with this.

  1. where do you people come from??? pluto ???do you know how much further you can go if you just add a dollar to every3 dollars you spend in gas. thats 3000 gallons of gas andwith your gas mileage i would venture to say you couldn't drive that far in a year. where is everybody's common sense???
  2. Hi there, I can't point you in the direction to find any way to convert your car to run on solar energy or veg oil, however I purchased a guide that showed me how to convert any car to run on a combo of gas and water. There is some science behind it, but you barely even need any mechanical knowledge to do it (trust me, I have none). Anyways, if you are interested I wrote a blurb about it on my blog and you are more than welcome to read that: http://reviewsoftheweb.com/2008/07/20/run-your-car-on-water/
  3. The average cost to convert a existing car to electric is around $6,000. If the car has a diesel engine, it's relatively easy to convert it to run on cooking oil. However the government is starting to crack down on this because cooking oil is not approved (read: taxed) for use on public roads.
