What is a good price and model for a first car?

In May of 2009, I will be getting my license. That means in November, I will be getting a job and my permit. I am starting to look into cars that I might want to start saving for soon. What are good prices and models for used cars?

1. A small car like Honda Fit or a compact car like Toyota corolla are very good options. I had a bad experience with my used car so I got a Honda Fit and Civic (had a major headache with my 99 accord auto 4 cylinder). You want to find a good used car with no major fix so why don't you get a brand new car (small or compact)with no worries?
2. id say a cavalier, civic, corolla, camry, pontiac sunfire, ....honda prelude...just cuz preludes are cool....pretty much any new car since they have warrantys preferably a dodge...since they got that lifetime warranty and they also got that 2.99 gas thing..no other company has it but any toyota run for ever if you want a quality car buy it from japan, i.e. toyota they make some good shit
