Need Help buying my first car, Any suggestions?
17 seconds ago Well, Im 17 and live long island New York, With all the crazy people you know. Im a pretty good driver and no i'm not just saying that. Originally I wanted a jeep grand cherokee for the four wheel drive and space in the back, Eventually i may move to PA in 2 years or so and need something compatible with mountains. My parents don't really take me out too look when i ask them to look for a jeep, and today my dad bought me home some car 4 sale mags. So i was thinking with gas and all to get a regular car maybe. I was hoping to only spend about 7,500 at the most but wanted something sporty with at least FWD. I was interested in the Dodge srt 4, Mitsubishi eclipse GT and Acura Integra but I like cars along those lines, preferably over year 2000. Anyone have any suggestions, Another thing I have concern about is fitting in my bass guitar amp ( svt 4x10 HLF classic)... It fits in my moms honda accord so its pretty good! Please just some suggestions. Thanks The imprezza is nice, but by me they are still too expensive used, I was looking more into the neon and upgrades for it, I might go look for one if i can.

- At your age, think smaller. In May, I drove a Chevy Aveo from Pittsburgh through West Virginia and all the way down to the New River Gorge (on route 19). At the gorge I went down 900 feet of switchbacks and 900 feet back up the other side, all within 8 miles. Last week I drove a Chevy Cobalt from the floor of Death Valley, in 119 degree heat, starting below sea level to the summit at over 4900 feet, in less than 20 miles, to get out of there. I also drove it from sea level through the Cajon Pass to at 4400 feet at freeway speeds on my to Vegas. And I drove my 2.2L Horizon through the Rocky mountains of British Columbia many times topping out at over 6000 feet sometimes. So you need a big gas hog like a Cherokee to get through the mountains of Pennsylvania that barely top out at 3000 feet why? I have been from New York to Pittsburgh and there is nothing in between that any car cannot handle. By the way I just bought a Chevy Cavalier in Anaheim, California last Saturday. Paid $6,000 for a 2005. I find good ones that are onler for as little as $2,000. Neons too.
- get a honda prelude or a subaru impreza the impreza has awd too
- I guess you should also check insurance quotes for the car before buying one, for example here: http://autoinsurance.hotusa.org Young drivers usually have much higher rates than others. And it depends from car. I would prefer Honda or Toyota.
