if i buy car parts for my car, and i decide to take it to the shop to fix my car, will they do it for a less $

if my car cost a grand to fix and i bought the parts before hand, will the auto shop be able to fix my car for less then a grand?

1. Most shops will use the parts you already bought and then only charge you for the labor. One body shop was gonna charge me $250 for each door and I said "f*ck that, I'll just get them at the junk yard for $40 a piece."
2. They would probably charge a little more then normal for labor considering there not making as much money as they would if they bought the part but yes it would be cheaper if they agree to do it.
3. Most shops will not allow you to buy the parts and have them install them. But if you find a mechanic to do the work on the side they may cut you a break.
