- cash!
- Cash in hand or a direct deposit into your bank...before you sign and release the title.
- ask for money order from the post office or direct check ,and the verify the check is good ,usually going through pay pal is the best way to go,its risky these days selling one because of all the fraud going on,you can ask for personal check and verify that its good before releasing the car and title to anyone, good luck.
- Cash, 100% down, No monthly payments!
- Cash is an option. Depending on the location, you may be able to got to the buyers bank with them, and have the bank issue you a cashiers check. If you get it directly from the bank, you have no worries about the check being fraudulent. You can also go to your bank with the buyer, and have the branch manager call the issuing bank to confirm the validity of the check. Get a copy of they buyers driver's license, and insist on them picking up the car themselves. Most scams involve you shipping the car. If someone comes in person, and you have a copy of their ID, it is much less likely that it is a scam!
- They put the cash in your hand.
