I was told that a car title loan business is not legal is this true?

We have a car title loan place of business in our town and i have been told that this is nt legal, so if i went to get a loan through them would it be legal?

1. Perfectly legal. Just like a pawn shop is legal. However, don't miss a payment or they WILL take your car.
2. Yes or they wouldn't be in business.
