getting confused with insurance payments?

my boyfriend insured his car 9 months ago but he got an insurance were u pay only for 9 months and get 3 months free. he has just bought a van so he will have to get a new quote what will happen to his 3 months free, will he still get his no claims aswel. when you get a new insurance do they take a payment out there and then or do they give you a month for your first payment? its a monthly insurance! Many Thanks he is only paying for one van now. he doesnt have a car no more.

1. He will be insuring 2 vehicles now so he will likely have to pay more money. Call your insurance company and ask.
