Looking for ways to sell a car, any suggestions?

im trying to help my friend sell his car, he is short on cash so he needs a way thats either cheap or free, so far we have tried the newspaper twice, craigslist, myspace, and carmax, does anyone have any other suggestions?

1. A couple years ago I tried Cars.com and yahoo autos and got NO interest. then I ran a good old fashioned newspaper classified and it was sold in 4 days.
2. One good source is those auto magazines near the entrance of the grocery stores. They ar normally regional and can reach further than newspapers. Plus it gives you a chance to put a photo in the ad. You can also try Ebay as well.
3. ive always sold them quick on craigslist. you are probably just asking too much for the car

Ok well any time you sale anything you need to present it to the buyer, its called advetising...look what ever the car is, sport or Rugged terain put the car in its evironment, Sports cars for example, i used to have an eclipse and i sold it but making the first impression is the key, so i took the car to the back roads and parked it on the street (make shure there are no cars) right in the middle of two lanes so you could see the yellow stripe, the back drop of the buildings looked nice...the car look very nice and very sporty bc i took the picture on the front right corner making the car look agreesive....sold the car right ways..its all about presentation and making the buyer feel what you want them to feel, if you car is fun then make then feel that in a picture
5. Craigslist is free. Carmax will buy your car but they wont give you what its worth.
