How do I downgrade my iPod Software?

I have a 5th gen? (1st video iPod) with the software version 1.3 on it. I bought a car stereo with iPod direct connect, but it only supports 1.2.1 (like most stereos do) How do I downgrade (I am using Windows Vista X_X)
