Does anyone know if there are any police car auctions in nyc?

My parents gave my car away today cuz the transmission was dying. Is there anywhere that I can get a car for low price, i know the economy sucks right now but i still cant afford the "low" prices of cars. i m looking for a used car preferably a Volkswagen jetta. cuz i love jettas and i had a jetta until a few hours today.

2. Yea, somewhere near Pier 51 where all the impounded cars are stored. If they are not picked up within a certain amount of time the cars are auctioned off.
3. Try calling the police department to see when their next auction is. You can also use one of those car auction sites if you want more than just one auction location.
