Is it best to buy a used car or a new car?

i am getting an enlistment bonus for the military and i need a car, with the new car deals trying to promote people to buy cars i was wondering if buying a new car would be ideal?

  1. If you buy an American car you will be giving back to Americans and help save the auto industry. I hope you have learned what I learned in the military and that was (right thinking) Hope you find that new American car. Be safe fellow soldier.
  2. i think that this is defiantly the time to buy new. the auto industry is just looking to make ends meet, which means really good deals on cars. i would NOT buy an american car though. not only is the financing unreliable. they are just not as high of quality as say honda or toyota. i would buy new if i were you. and make sure u shop around. most foreign cars are coming with really good warranties. good luck
  3. your question is naif, of course is better to buy a new car, there is no comparison. james answer is full of anger, that american anger that has put the american auto industry in the place it has today, james is very stupid to put it clearly. buy a toyota or honda, they are more reliable, you'll get value for your money and you'll be helping american people working in american factories producing your brand new toyota or honda model. buy american and not only you'll be buying crap, but you'll be buying from people that don't want to learn how to do good cars, people that even in the worst moments, are unable to accept their own mistakes and are unable to step aside. buy a chrysler and you'll help the company that has gone bankruptcy twice and that both times has asked for your taxes to repeat the same mistakes.
