Where can I find user reviews or ratings of car batteries?

I have a 1985 Ford LTD, 302 V8, and I want to get the best battery I can for $100 or less. Is there a place that offers reviews or ratings, either from editors or customers, on the Net?

  1. only one i saw was for deep cycle boats and winches price general good refrence like anything else few bad apples
  2. just go to sears, and dont worry about it.but be sure your regulaor is ok,or it will just drain again..
  3. Consumer Reports Magazine rates every thing people buy .I had the same concern about Batteries a couple years ago and one of the top rated batteries was Kirkland sold by COSTCO. Try www.Consumer Reports.org
  4. get an interstate battery they are pretty good.i've been using them for a while and never had any problems at all.
  5. WAL MART is as good as any battery on the market. Get the proper battery for your car with the highest cca you can find. They are guaranteed for various lengths of time and I have never had a problem if there is a rare return needed. All batteries are made by one of the large battery makers and various names are put on them for the store that is selling them. Sears does not make batteries they are made by a battery company and the diehard name put on them. You can do no better than Wal Mart no matter how much you spend. Don't get fooled by high prices that claim to be better.
