In New Jersey what will happen if I have a car loan and I file for chapter 7 bankruptcy?

I was just approved for a high interest loan to purchase a car but I dont want to get the car if it will affect tha bankruptcy and I know that I can only keep a certain amount of assets and Im told my 13k escrow account will be free and clear since its less than the maximum.
