Overhaulin'

when i enter a particular part in NFS Undercover, it freezes! how can i stop it?

when i enter the visuals mode when customizing cars, i go to body kits, then choose any kind of body kit. when i move the slider to any direction (to modify the body kit parts), it freezes there, just right there!!! i had to restart my computer...whats wrong?! BTW, it just happens occasionally.
