which car should i buy? ?

ok right now i'm driving a 2003 merc c180 classic - going to trade it in soon for something similar (probably) in the small exec market. im factoring for between £3k and £4k part exchange and have £8 over and above that to spend. Obviously it is going to be used (up to 3 years and less than/equal to 30k miles). Any suggestions? I find the c180 ride to be boring if not dependable... hence seriously considering buying a new (old) c class. Thanks
