Im moving to the states and need to buy, lease a car?

Im moving from central America ! and i need to have a car as soon as i get there , but i don't know what to do should i buy a used one and then change to a better car or should i lease a car , or buy from car-max an ok car and then change it. What is best at this time , what do you recommend HELP !!!

1. i would rent a car for like a week and then look around for that week then you can see the car you want.
