Anyone ever salvage your own junk car out of your garage, and sell the parts yourself?

My 95 Camry just died (Transmission shot). I know there are items in that car that are worth $$$. I am thinking I can make more than the local yards will give me (Which is around $150). I can think of a few items off the bat people would want: Stereo Alternator Master Window Switch New Tires Lexus Chrome Rims New Battery And many other odds and ends I can sell on ebay... I have plenty of spare time, I am very handy, and I might be a great way to learn about car repairs (Tearing it down, following the Chilton manuals...) Now, the final question: Say I sell my tires and rims, can a tow truck yank it away with tires and rims? I will have to roll it backwards into my alley fist somehow... (Flatbed I assume :) I wonder if AAA will cover that... Thanks! And hopefully my neighbors don't mind as it may be parked outside from time to time :0

1. definitely a tow can get you!!!!! strip your bolt on parts yourself, sell on ebay, then give the scraps to the yard, itd be better to sell everything yourself, a door can get you money to a seat, dash, etc, you got a gold mine if you have the patience to sell all the parts!
