What do you do after you build the driveway to buy a car in Sims 2?

I have the Nightlife expansion pack, but after I build the driveway I don't get any new options to buy cars or anything and I went to downtown, but I can't find any car dealerships to buy the car at. Please don't give me a website address because I don't have the Internet at home and all game sites are blocked at school. The public library is the school's library where I live. Thanks!

1. did you make a driveway using both the driveway icon and then the extra pavement icon to put the car in? it's both located in the same menu.. anyway, you can buy cars on on the buy catalog. There should be an icon that says misc. I think. also if you want good cars, download some by going to google and typing fresh prince sims 2, he has the best cars
2. There is no special car dealership. After you've built the driveway, you just buy a car like you would your furniture. It's an option that you should find in the miscellaneous.
