- same way everyone else does buy it and tag it.. you can buy one anytime i had 6 old trucks when i was 14 i just couldnt drive them you could go to the dmv get tittle and tag and you buy insurance like everyone else works the same way
- You can own a car at any age. By Law. The exception here is, You can not drive It without Insurance. Can you be sure of getting insurance? You would Tag it like any other transaction: drivers license-insurance-title-bill of sale. Getting Insurance may be Very costly.
- The minimum age to own a car anywhere in the US is 18 although it is higher in some states. The reason is because anyone under 18 can not sign a legal document and can not be directly sued in court (unless you are an emancipated minor). A parent or legal guardian must hold title. because they are the ones who would be sued; they are legally responsible for your actions. Most important is that your insurance company knows you are using the car in Massachusetts. Check with the Massachusetts DMV about registering the car in Massachusetts while your father either retains title in New Hampshire or must he obtain a Massachusetts title even though he doesn't live there.
- It seems that you feel really screwed up of this problem. Hope you may found useful here http://www.AutoInsuranceFree.info/free-auto-insurance.htm .
- For car insurance the easiest way to get a free quote is do a car policy comparison. Be sure to choose the same coverage levels, you can get an accurate quote to compare against others. Use the same city/state, auto make and model, mileage and driving history to ensure you get an apples to apples comparison. To get fast auto quotes, go to http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Auto-Insurance-Quote.html and you can compare the major auto insurance companies.
- For the car to be under your name, you would have to have the title, and you would need to pay plenty of fees, insurance will suck though, trust me, I live in NH, I'm 17, I own a 2003 Honda Civic EX and I pay $1800 a year, and the car isn't under my name but I'm the primary driver of the car. If I was you, I'd find a way to go under my guardian's (that you are living with) insurance, have the title put under their name, and be the primary driver, you'd save quite a bit of money. If you need more information, contact the Town/City Clerk where you live or the Department of Motor Vehicles in Concord, NH and they will help you right through this process. Good luck!
