When will the price of cars go down in Canada and be equivalent to USA's car prices?
New Cars manufactured in Canada are far more expensive than those made in USA. Since the Canadian dollar is very strong right now, (more than the USA) when will the price of cars be equivalent or lower??

- Probably when the Canadian government moves away from the socialistic society it has become and aims toward more being a capitalistic, free enterprise state... vote wisely up there
- When the us incorporates you into our country.
- when the earth crash with the sky on that time the prices will be equavilant
- I have been in the market for a new car for a few months. I have come to the realization that prices in Canada will never match the US, unless car dealers and manufactures are willing to take a huge loss, not on the new vehicles but on the used cars they have sitting on lots and in the auction houses. Such a loss will put many small dealers out of business, especially those who rely solely on selling used vehicles. Car dealers and manufactures were short sighted in their calculations of lease rates, residual values and buy backs in relation to the Canadian economy. We should not be the ones paying $5k-15k more for their lack of foresight and the strength of our economy. Unless someone ( not the consumer) is willing to take the hit, I think Canadians should immediately halt all purchases or leasing of vehicles. We should make it a consumer boycott.
