Are 4 Cylinder Fox Body's Rear Wheel Drve? If So Do They Have The Tremec 5 And The 8.8 Rear End?

I Have A 91 Fox Body GT As My Show Car. All Original 35Ks. I Have A 351 Modified. And I Am Wanting To Get Another Fox Body And Put The Motor Into It For An Even Better Street Machine. I Am Wanting To Drag. And I Have The Connections To Get Twin Turbo Kits For The 351 As Well. That Are Specially Designed For Mustangs. I Am Looking At Buying A 4 Cylinder Because They Are Cheaper To Buy. But I Dont Wanna Have To Go Through All The Work In Converting It If I Dont Have Too.

  1. ALL Mustangs have ALWAYS been rear wheel drive. The 4 cylinder models use a 7.5" rear end and a Borg Warner transmission that is weaker than the V8 models. The brake line routing on the 4 cylinder models also differs from the V8 models, which will interfere with the installation of dual exhausts. The instrument clusters are also different between the two (4 cylinders use a 200 km/h speedo, 6,000 RPM tach, V8s use a 240 km/h speedo, and 7,000 RPM tach). Hope this helps.
