Audi TT (2008 model) - should I put a body kit on?

Anybody who knows anything about cars your help would be appreciated!... My new Audi TT will be ready in the next week or so. It's coming from the factory with Xenon headlights and 18" 10 spoke bicolour alloys. It's metallic black. I thought it would be fine as it is but my brother says I should modify it. Apologies if I use the wrong terminology here, not too hot with my car knowledge. What do you think? Any pictures would be helpful... Thanks!

  1. Slapping just a body kit on your car is no good. Tell your brother he needs to get over his "Fast and the Furious" stage. TT's look fine as they are. They don't need a fancy body kit to make them look nice. That and your car being an '08, considering Audi just updated the TT's design, you probably won't find a lot of body kits out there. If you decide you're going to upgrade your car for some reason, smack your brother and buy engine upgrades. Air intakes, headers, etc. Body kits are just a waste of money. At MOST I would suggest a lip kit. But nothing big and flarey. Especially on such a new car. Also, the wrong body kit can actually cause excess heat in the engine bay...exactly the opposite of what they're supposed to do.
  2. I would say you wouldn't need body kit at this time. The package is pretty enough, esp the tail lights are one of a kind can't help but be noticed at night
  3. If you do that to your car you will do 2 things. 1, Spend a good deal of money on something which is essentially a whim. 2, When you come to sell this car, you will restrict the appeal to other potential buyers ( one man's meat is another man's poison) AND the price you get will suffer accordingly, you hope that a potential buyer likes your modification and if you trade in, a dealer will most certainly offer you less. You lose out both ways ... don't do it !
  4. i say go for it! check this out:www.matey-matey.com/audi_tt.jpg
  5. NO!NO!NO! the 2008 audi TT is great as it is. your brother is wrong. when you modify a new car you are just waisting money and making it really ugly. tell your brother its your car not his. when you modify a car people do it to cars that are ugly or old and i don't know whey you would buy a car that you don't like. so trust me don't listen to him and leave it stock.
  6. with Audi's or high class vehicles, avoid doing changes to the body or engine. cars lose value when modified and a lot of parts are not authorized by the company. audi tt itself is perfect how it is, so i recommend not too
  7. Wait... how old are you? Your picture doesn't seem to make you look too old. And you even asking this question shows you have no idea about cars. And you have an Audi TT... why? Please... just sell it to someone who would understand it or deserves it. The thought of something like this being done to such a beautiful car is just sickening.
