Is Volvo a good first car?
I love the look of this Volvo and it is in my $6k price range. Theyre asking $5.1k for it and it has 127k miles. I am in highscool and would this car make a good car? I am not familiar with Volvo so i dont know much about the reliability and how much the price for parts are compared to a Honda or BMW here is the car: http://www.vehix.com/inventory/VehicleDetails.aspx?zip=46516&radius=50&condition=Used&smodel=S80&make=Volvo&Limit=25&SearchPagePosition=1&inventoryid=770000011C0AE9&N=127%2B4294967077%2B74 It is a 2001 Volvo s80

- if you got lots of money sure one of the highest car to get parts for or have work done on it Honda or a nissan woul dbe cheaper and bmw not much diferant
- GREAT CAR IF YOU ARE RICH. THAT CAR IS RIGHT AT THE MILES WHERE THING START HAPPENING TO ANY CAR. GO FOR A 6 CYLINDER FORD MUSTANG THE SEEM TO GO FOREVER.
- a Volvo costs to much to insure, to repair and when u crash ur volvo u better have lots of money just like the BMW I want a old BMW M3 Coupe but my dad knows cars alot and he told me to get a car that doesn cost so much and the Honda is cheaper than the Volvo n the BMW and its also eco too than the volvo like the Honda Civic or the Honda Prelude. If i was u Don't get a Volvo my friend dad's volvo was T-Bone with a 4x4 drive car and he was all right but he does not have enought money 4 it and also not really good enought to repair.
- No!Safe but reliability sucks.and as everyone else said parts and labor on them will cost you two arms and a leg.
- Volvo is a great first or any number car. This model is the bigger six cylinder car, so fuel mileage won't be great. Reliability is on par with anything else, and better than most, and contrary to popular opinion, parts are not as expensive as for many Japanese cars. That engine should go more than twice that distance. You won't find a more comfortable or safer car.
- Run for the hills. A Volvo is a Ford and has been owned by Ford for years. Ford is great but the 127,000 miles is a killer at this price..
