What is the best way to sell a classic car and get what it's worth?

We have a 1959 Dodge Coronet, all original w/26K miles (original engine) that I need to sell because my mother-in-law has cancer and we need to help her out. The car is BEAUTIFUL but have to sell her FAST!

  1. EBay would probably be your best bet. Just make sure to put a reserve price on it so that it brings at least what you want it too.
  2. Don't know about fast, but you might check with a local car club. If you can sell it to a Japanese or European you can get top dollar.
  3. Very often, the seller's idea of what his car is worth differs from what buyers think it's worth. Pick a number. If no one calls, lower the price until it sells.
  4. Put an ad in Hemmings motor news
  5. Its the time of year where there will be car shows poppingup all over. Usually serious dealers and hobbiest go to these places and know the value of these classics. I would try the car shows and in the mean time, of course go online to sell. show pictures of it and be honest about the car. I wish your mother in law well.
  6. contact a classic car dealer.it being a low milage car makes it worth good coin.
