1. Not exactly a WEB SITE, but my KELLY BLUE BOOK listing prices FOR OLDER CARS during the Jan. > Apr. 2007 time frame, shows only one SL - MBz built in the 1987 model year. It is the 560 SL 2 door V-8 Roadster which had a new list price of $61,430 (in 1987) and a wholesale price of $114,000 (in 2007). The suggested retail price could be as high as $163,000 depending on mileage, age, area, and condition.
2. Are you kidding? An '87 560SL in top shape is worth $10-20K, depending mostly on the buyer's willingness to pay. You're best bet is to see what they are offered for in Hemmings, E-Bay, Craig's list, etc. If you find there's a market at $163K, it could be a terrific investment op.
