Overhaulin'

Is there any classic car insurance company serving NJ that caters to teen drivers (I'm 18)?

I'm planning on buying a 76 Superior Cadillac Ambulance to make my daily driver, as well as a fun project. I need to find an insurance company that will insure it as a classic car under my name (I'm 18). Most insurers, such as Hagerty and JC require any drivers be 25 or over. From Progressive, I would pay about $2k a year for just liability. My parents have New Jersey Manufacturers, the cheapest credible insurance in new jersey. I could get a policy with them. I pay about $1000 a year in liability for my 95 volvo turbo. I'm just trying to figure out if there'd be a difference in price between that and this ambulance.

  1. Look into hagerty insurance they r one of the best for classic car insurance
  2. if there is it might be cheaper to buy another classic car as the insurance companies like to rape teenagers
  3. See this http://gsx1.com/InsuranceComparison.html take the quote there, keep your fingers crossed. They'll come back with a number of quotes from the best insurers serving NJ. And here's more comparison sites from my bookmarks http://finance.ebookorama.com/ukusa-selected-resources.php http://gsx1.com/Car-Insurance/100.php
  4. You can't get a classic car company to insure a daily driver as classic, no matter what your age. They normally only allow 2500 miles per year & will check your mileage yearly to be sure you do not go over & you are only allowed to use those miles for shows & parades, sorry (or to get the car worked on or a short pleasure drive). Also, since an ambulance is not a private passenger type vehicle, you may still have trouble insuring it.
