How much is a truck worth with 120,000 miles?
It's a 99 Ford Ranger XLT with an extended cab, 4 wheel drive, has the main features: AC, CD player, bed has a cover.... it's in good condition, no real wear or tear but it does have a lot of mileage... I checked it on vehix car guides and that told me that it's worth around $6400 but that seems too much.... I was thinking of selling it for $4000... does that seem to high or low?

- It's 10 years old, high mileage, it's worth about $1500.00
- the way everything is right now you would never sell it at 6400 try 3400but be ready to take 2900 its just simply to old dosent look attractive as newer cars look on craigslist.com at other vehicles so you can set your price conformally
- start at 2500
- Sorry , way too high . Ask for $ 1750
- Edmunds has been accurate for me in the past, you might compare their results.
- Roughly $4370 - private party
- The best source is Kelly Blue Book....They give you highs and lows determined by what you say the condition of the vehicle is. Good Luck
- I'll give you a dollar.
- seems about right (you gotta consider credit crunch and all)
- $4000 is too low, but it also depends on how fast you want it gone. If vehix, or KBB, or edmunds all say around $6400 which is probably for excellent condition. I'd go with $5500 and go from there. You want to price it high enough so there is some room to move to get someone to buy it. Price it too high and no one will even look at it. Try to get around $5000. It is 4wd that'll comand a better price. I traded in a no options regular cab 4cyl 2wd auto '99 S-10 with 150,000miles for $2000. That ranger is worth way more than that.
- Go to this site http://www.nada.com/ and enter all of you stats and options.
- your right,to much money,27-29 would be more reasonable and would sell at that price without any haggling
- 120,000 on a '99 is actually average mileage. The market for trucks may be a little soft due to rising fuel costs. $4,000-$5,000 would be a reasonable place to start, but be willing to move your price if you really want to sell your truck. If you are using KBB.com to gauge pricing, make sure to select "private party" sale and do not overstate the condition of your truck.
