who is giving the best rate on re-financed car loans?

I currently have 8.3% and know I can do better with a 738 FICO score. Who is refinancing car loans at better rates?

  1. The best place to go would be your own bank or lender of choice. Your relationship with your bank, will dictate how good a rate that you get.
  2. Why is your percentage rate at 8.3% if your credit score is 738? With that credit score you should be close to 0%. Doesn't add up..
  3. There is no one refinancer with the "best rate." You could see the same lender as someone with the same credit score and get two different sets of rates. There are many things that go into a refinance rate, your credit score it just one small part. Best thing to do is contact your local credit union and see what they can do for you. If that isn't satisfactory, call up a loan broker like RateGenius who specifically works with refinancing car loans. They can send your one application to many lenders and get the best rate for your situation. You should never be under any obligation though, so don't let anyone force you into a deal that you're not comfortable with. Take your time and get the right deal for you.
