Overhaulin'

Found a bunch of stolen shirts in a car we bought from a police auction. Where do we take them?

We bought a car at a police auction for dirt cheap, but it was filled with clothes and a bunch of other stuff. We sorted through the clothes, and found some nice clothes, but some weird stuff too, like thongs and bras. But we did find about 16 Colorado Rockies (a baseball team) hoodies and tee shirts. They're brand new and have the security tag thingy on them. They look stolen, and they're all the same. The value's for the hoodies are 55 and the tee shirts 35. The tag says that they're from Sears, so should we take them back there? Or should we take them to the police we got the car from. No, I'm not keeping them.

Public Comments

  1. Ask the police about this situation.
  2. Take them back to the police where you got the car.
  3. I'm pretty sure that everything is the car is yours if you bought it at an auction.
  4. give the police a call(not 999 get the stations number). ask them what to do with them. i wouldnt just take any of those things back to sears. they might call the cops on you and you in turn could be arrested
  5. When you buy a vehicle from the police auction everything in it belongs to you. The police go through the vehicles before auction normally for drugs and things of this nature but clothing stereo equipment and tools are sold with the vehicle
  6. Take 'em to the laundry. You bought the whole deal.
