Can I use my financial aid money to buy a car ?

I went on FAFSA and they informed me that I qualify for 2 grants. GRANTS not LOANS. I'm planning to use this money for school, but if the semester is over, and I have money left, am I able to use this money as a down payment for a used car ? I think with the way my car is, I'm bound to have a disaster some day on the way to school.

1. Depends on the conditions of the grants. Sometimes they include living expenses. If they don't and you use it that way, you could be liable for fraud charges.
