I'm a single mother and college student and It's about time I buy a car. Does anyone have an idea where I cang et a fairly cheap used car, less than $2,000, in New Jersey. Thanks

Go to autotrader.com THey have lots of used cars. look in your local paper. Do a google search. Also ask a friend to help out, its always good to get a another persons take on it.

I'm a single mother and will be starting school again next month, so I definitely know how you feel. You should try going to a car auction to get a decent car at a fairly cheap price. I bought a Toyota Sienna from one a couple of months ago for $2-3,000 off of it's retail value. Just be sure to give it a good inspection before you buy. Or better yet bring along a friends that's good with cars or mechanic to make sure everything check out alright. Good luck!!
