How much should I pay dad for selling my old car for me?

Im in the military away from home and I had my dad sell my old car back at home for me. He washed it, got it smogged, and met with possible buyers and finally sold it for $3,2500. I want to pay him for selling it but i have no idea on how much is a fair price. And I can't ask him how much because he wont take the money from me

2. I am not your father but I am a father and my son was also in the military at one time. If you think that you dad would not take the money from you (and I would not have taken it from my son) the you need to skin the cat another way. I would have been hurt if my son would have paid me. I am a avert hunter and if he went and bought me a new gun I would think it a present and not have thought of it a payment for being his dad, and me doing the Pop thing. Just and idea as I know what I would have not looked at as pay for doing something that dads do for the children
