Car insurance discounts for high school and college students?

What are ways in which high school and college students can get discounts. For example, I know that if you've taken a driver's course and have a B average (or something to that extent), you are qualified to get a certain percentage off of your car insurance. Can someone please clarify this information for me please? (Please don't list all of the determinants of insurance factors, like age of vehicle or type of vehicle. That's not what I'm asking for. ^^;) Thanks in advance. (I'm with Allstate!)

  1. Some insurance companies won't give discounts for good students. The majority of the companies that do provide it will give you between 10%-20% off if you have a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school. In college, you will need to add at least 12 units along with a 3.0 GPA to get the discount. This will have to come from your last FULL semester. In college, there cannot be a gap from your last full semester and your current semester. This rule applies in California.
  2. I saved almost $500 with National Car Insurance. You should check if they have a student discount. Here's the website: http://nbjmp.com/click/?s=47770&c=40078
  3. Be frankly,It is gonna take a while to find the answer for your question.Try the resource herehttp://www.EasyAutoInsurance.info for reference.
  4. I tried easyautoinsurance.info and it just ended up getting me on a bunch of spam lists, I think it also infected my computer with spyware. I would suggest http://www.easyautocoverage.com - I thought it was pretty good and no spam
  5. to get cheaper insurance you just SHOP AROUND A LOT. I put it in capitals as that is the main thing. Just spend a WEEK getting quoted by everyone, keep a note of who quoted you what, then go for the cheapest. I've bookmarked this sites to go back to, it's free to get quotes http://gsx1.com/InsuranceComparison.html http://gsx1.com/Car-Insurance/100.php http://finance.ebookorama.com/ukusa-selected-resources.php you'll find TONS more in google
