Whats the best car to modify?

I'm looking to modify a car that wont rip me off a lot of money on parts. What do you suggest i get.

1. McLaren M1 or Bugatti Veyron. Autozone has tons of stuff for these cars.
2. Get a car which was one of the most popular, and that would mean plenty of parts and thus cheap and easy for your pocket. If you want a V-6, Chevy Lumina. If you want an import, try a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. If you want European there are several Mercedes models from the junkyards.
