How come the European car brands don't modify their cars for North American conditions?

I mean is,whenever European imports come to America,they seem to have an inferior quality as compared to Asian or even American brands But how could being them being more advanced make them less reliable somehow?

1. Are you talking about reliability or overall build quality? If you're talking about the latter then you're completely wrong. If you're talking about the former it's because European cars(specifically German cars) are generally more advanced than American/Japanese cars.
